You have a right to copies of your medical records from doctors, clinics, and hospitals. However, accessing them isn’t always easy.

With DrOwl, patients can organize their medical records in a secure digital hub. Our app also takes confusing health terms and jargon and deciphers this language so that it can be easily understood.

How Can Patients Request Copies of Their Personal Health Data?

Patients can access their medical records using one of three methods:

  • Patient portals
  • Email
  • Regular mail or fax

Contact your provider to determine which method is used. With patient portals, you’ll need to create an account, at which point you can view your records. When it comes to other methods, you may need to wait for staff to get copies and transfer them to you. Records are usually sent quickly, but keep in mind that providers have up to 60 days to remit information based on HIPAA laws.

How Does DrOwl Help Patients Organize and Understand Their Records?

Powered by AI technology, the DrOwl app stores digital health records and translates confusing data into clear language virtually anyone can understand. With our app, you can access your records at any time, while also making sense of the complex terminology in doctor’s notes and other documents.
