COVID-19 Reporting

DrOwl’s helpline is available 24/7 and grants users immediate access to a medical provider, who is armed with the most up-to-date information regarding the disease and proper protocol for care.

As of right now, the biggest threat of the coronavirus in the United States is to elderly persons living in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. With the largest concentrated outbreaks occurring in nursing homes and following the deaths of nearly two dozen SNF residents, families, the elderly and the facilities themselves are calling for immediate and precautionary measures. In addition to prescreening solutions, DrOwl provides a real-time reporting system through which authorities can track visits to nursing home facilities, see with whom patients come into contact and control the spread of the virus in this manner.

Individual and Aggregate Nursing Home Data

DrOwl makes data available at an individual home and state level. When a person enters an SNF or ALF, he or she must submit to a prescreening. If cleared for entry, that person’s data, along with the time and date of the visit, will be logged into the system. Nursing home management can browse and search logs for their individual facilities; the state can see data for all nursing homes individually or aggregate. When a new COVID-19 case arises, the authorities can quickly browse the data to find the carrier and possible points of contact. From there, authorities can do one of two things:
  • Notify residents if a visitor is later diagnosed with COVID-19; or
  • Notify visitors if a resident is later diagnosed with COVID-19.

Training Updates

Through the DrOwl platform, authorities and facility supervisors can access real-time updates on employee training. As researchers learn more about COVID-19, medical personnel and nursing home staff will need to undergo sufficient training and ongoing education. As employees complete each new training module, their information will be updated in the system, which state agencies and individual facilities can access for peace of mind.

Please contact us for more information on how this platform works and how you can begin using it.
